Politics.....YUCK!

So, this is not going to be some right-winged, liberal, conservative, or moderate blog. Its just me doing the best I can to understand issues concerning this country using my mind, upbringing and faith. Politics in general are taxing and tidious. I mean, its a great thing to be knowledgeable on issues and who stands for what. Lets face it though, NO candidate EVER holds true to everything they say in order to get elected! THEY ALL LIE, or stretch the truth or fib......it's just part of being in a public office and running for a public office! Dare I say it, but BOTH democrats and republicans lie! The stereotypical thing is to assume that most christians are republicans and that most celebrities are democrats. I for one, am neither democrat nor repulican. I believe that they both have strong viewpoints, but they both royally stink in many ways too! I am all for a new political party called the "Better" party! A party that is actually open minded to believe that there are smart people in both parties and listening and respecting both CAN be accomplished! Is it just me or would more problems get solved if everyone was willing to compromise? There are some issues that can't be compromised, I realize this. Many can, however! I'm not saying that everyone getting along and being all cheerful is realistic, just a nice thought! Like I said, I am not going to share my personal beliefs of issues, but what I am going to say is that I REFUSE to vote for a candidate just because they have a "republican" title or "democrat" title! I have voted across party lines before because I agreed more with the other candidate then the one in my own party! Its called listening and understanding. Don't be fooled by labels! Anyway, I guess I have rambled on long enough! TATA for now!

Hello workforce, here I am!!

Apparently I have no skills worth anything except child care! At least, that is what the employment world is telling me! The fact is, almost every job I have had and held on to for any length of time has been in the child care field of some sort. This does NOT mean, however, that those are my only skills and that's all I can do! My resume is filled with all my previous job experience and somehow I am seen as an ideal candidate to babysit your kids, but not so ideal to work in an office!! CAN I SCREAM NOW!!! How does anyone expect me to gain office/computer skills if they won't offer me the chance to learn them? Everything related to the computer that I have ever done, I have learned far more quickly then others and its not like I am "computer illiterate." I can do many things on the computer, just not super familiar with some of the programs. Does this mean I am doomed to a life of babysitting forever??? HELP ME! NO! If given the chance, you would see me rise to the occation and be far more knowledgable then anyone thought! You may be surprised, but you'll never know because you won't hire me!! I guess that commercial is right...."I can't go to school because I don't have any money...I don't have any money, because I don't have a job.....I don't have a job because I don't have any skills....I don't have any skills because I didn't go to school........."

So what does someone have to do to get their own reality show???

Ok. Seriously!!! What does it take to get your own reality show?? Obviously not any sort of viable or obvious talent!! There are reality shows for weight loss, dating, living with multiples, marriages, bachelors, swapping wives, little people, cake chefs, regular chefs, becoming an apprentice for Donald Trump, designing homes and clothes, dancing, singing....I mean basically ANYTHING can and will become a reality show!! So, as I sit here and read the headlines of reality show people and how much they make, I say "SIGN ME UP!!" I have also learned that there is absolutely NOTHING that people won't watch! I mean there is an actual show called "WIPE OUT" where the sole premise is to be wiped out! Boy, doesn't that sound fun!! I just wish that someone would come searching for an unemployed, non-mom who crochets, cleans and organizes because that is the show I would star in! Sadly, people would watch it!! We definately live in the "REALITY SHOW" era! I have seen what the price of making your private life public can have and I say NO THANK YOU!!! The money can't possibly be worth sacrificing all that for! Despite my own strong desire to tune into these very addicting shows, I have also grown tired of the sillyness that some of these shows have! I mean, I'm sorry! I really don't care where Kate takes her 8 kids on a Saturday! I also don't care which celebrity is going home on Dancing With The Stars! Why? Because my life is the same no matter what the outcome is!! I am guilty of finding my "guilty pleasure" in TV reality shows! They suck you in! And are they REALLY reality?? Scripted scenes where the director yells cut and you redo is hardly reality! Lets get to the REAL reality show: film the devastation that a divorce has on a child. Film the toll cheating has on a wife/husband and family. Film a soldier being reunited with his family after his 3rd tour of duty and missing the birth of one of his children.....that is reality! Paying a family millions of dollars to film their life and give them lots of perks too is NOT!!! Lets not be fooled!!!
